Meet
Jeff Shyman
Historian and Storyteller
Jeff has been the business owner, tour guide, booker, mechanic, and janitor of A Street Tour Named Desire (formerly Confederacy of Cruisers) for 18 years, curating and leading our much loved Culinary and Cultural rides.
As a New Orleanian for 30 years, he has only ever lived in the historic neighborhoods we ride in—memorizing every pothole, eating at local hidden gems, and drinking in all that has ever been available in our local spots.
While Jeff is a dedicated historian, he knows there is no history without the most important part: STORY. The narrative is truly what makes this city special. When he is not biking with y'all, he is cycling around town with his 8-year-old on the back of his bike, as she still refuses to learn how to pedal herself.

Meet
Danny Laurino
Philosopher and
Skeeballer
Danny has been a pro New Orleans Bike Tour guide for 15 years. A decade of which was with A Street Tour Named Desire and under the previous name Confederacy of Cruisers. He masterfully leads our deep-dive culture ride, as well as his true passion project, our signature New Orleans Cocktail Tour
He lives close enough to roll a bike wheel to, and if he isn't taking our customers to Marie's Bar, our neighbor-hood drinking spot, he is still taking himself there. He absolutely practices what he preachers. Stopping by there is like a free tour.
Danny is deeply immersed in every facet of New Orleans culture... the music, our sports teams, every Mardi Gras parade but still finds time to be knee deep in New Orleans research and keeping his local entertainment Instagram, Day Tripping With Danny, updated. Link is below!
